Hi to all! I played RoM about 15 years ago and really liked it. I played FOnline and I know that there is a lot of MODs that makes your gameplay much easier and more enjoyable and because I am totally new to ALLODS server play and I have never used any ALLODS MODs before I will ask about them here. What are suggested/working MODs for this client? (aka MODs you use in your gameplay) And if there are some forbidden MODs please name them. (aka MODs that can BAN you) EDIT: Primary I am interested in: Windows mode Resolution change Better graphics Loot/Collectable highlighter Monster level highlighter And I use Windows 8.1 64bit
You already could change resolution and play in window Graphics is hard to change, but in my taste its perfect. But there are a lot of new weapon and armour in game, chech it out! ) Loot highlighter - may be its good idea to have different colors at different loot in inventory. Monsters already have different colors
About resolution, I change resolution in shortcut Target line (C:\ROM2\allods2.exe --res:1280x720), but cannot get window mode. Tried adding -window or --window and it is not working. So any instructions? About graphics, I saw Rage of Mages 2. Graphic mod. Version 1.2. but installation is not working on x64 OS, so, I installed it in virtual machine XP x86 and cannot see difference in graphics. Is this maybe already included in client? About loot highlighter, sometimes when I kill mobs in forest I cannot see loot bags behind trees and need to move cursor over every near tree to check for loot bag. Something like this: http://forum.fonline2.com/index.php?topic=3087.0 Alternative for loot highlighter would be changing graphics of obstacle to transparent with visible bottom part only, like only visible tree trunk or just foundation of the house. I saw green and red mobs of same type but how can I recognize like Spider[1/2/3/4/5]? Maybe these are annoying questions but most of the information is in Russian and Google Translate is not helping too much.
Well after Anotomix told me that I need some third party application I googled and found out that application DxWnd allows you to play old games in window mode but FPS drops considerably so I gave up on window mode.
